We prioritize outdoor learning in all seasons.
Summer and fair weather: 5–11 hours per day
Spring/Fall: 3–6 hours per day
Winter (below –20 °C with wind chill): 2–5 hours per day
On days when conditions are extreme, learning takes place indoors.

Yes. All children must be fully potty-trained before joining our programs.

Yes. Nature Wanderers Childcare is a licensed, non-profit program regulated by Alberta's provincial childcare guidelines.

Yes. We participate in the Alberta Child Care Subsidy and Affordability Grant programs.

We modify activities when temperatures fall below –20°C, with wind chill, or during severe weather events. Children remain indoors or participate in brief, safe outdoor learning sessions, depending on the conditions.

Preschool children have a quiet rest period after lunch that includes reading, creating, drawing, invitations to learn and discover etc..
